Photography focused photo sharing platform
With the ability to follow accounts and post photos independently of Bluesky follows and media posts, Grain is exactly what I was looking for: an ATProto-driven, old Instagram-style alternative, focused on photography, without unnecessary features. There is still some work to do; some features are missing, and there is currently no (Android) app, so the general user experience can be a bit suboptimal.
I love it!!! It’s so good, it feels like the best parts of Instagram and the best parts of Flickr with neither of the downsides. Highly recommend!!

love this app so much! reminds me of when photo sharing apps were filled with what my friends were up to rather than them selling to strangers. also a great place to see film photography and gave me the itch to start producing my own again.
There are some incredibly talented photographers on here. Scrolling my Grain feed is a beautiful and calming experience.
