As a photographer, this is awesome!! I love viewing others beautiful photos and I love posting my own. I love how the EXIF data shows up, I love how the photos are high quality. The discoverability is great. So much better than Instagram for photography, and imo even other photography-focused platforms. This is my favorite. I'm using my grain profile as my main portfolio too.
As a tech nerd, this is so cool!!! Love how it utilizes atproto while being seperate from bluesky (profile, follow graph, stories, etc). Love that my photos are safe on my own PDS. iOS app is great too, I can't wait for an android app!! My only complaint is I wish I could disable the bluesky button, I want my grain profile focused on my photography.
Other than that small thing though grain is amazing I love it here and I can't wait to post more
