ISTG, the saga yet continues w/bluesky and now with blacksky timeline. I *still* cannot login via bluesky on my laptop, though they emailed me back & said a bug was fixed. I can login on my phone now. On Blacksky.community (where I am reading my timeline) I get this after a bit: SIGH.

Interesting. At a glance, there is no mention of scope 3/"embodied" emissions and it's using total carbon intensity rather than marginal intensity (new load is met with new gas and keeping existing gas and coal online). So this report is optimistic and doesn't close the loop on bottom-up analysis 👇

I did see it with a few accounts to folks (blacksky.community/profile/did:... is one but they deleted). They might be finding folks' passwords in public leaks and hammering accounts (I'm not sure exactly)

When @bsky.app goes down I legitimately do not notice. My account hosted is on @selfhosted.social. I use the @blackskyweb.xyz app service with the @skeetsapp.com and @jollywhoppers.com's Witchsky clients. You all have agency here. We have self determination.

Also, looks like several people I follow or who follow me are not having their profiles populate "properly" into blacksky.community, even if those profiles are fully visible on bsky.app - but I'll give it some more time, since it does seem to be improving!

Huh. You know what? I said that, but I just clicked into blacksky.community again and now it's working better. This is a new development; as recently as 12 hours ago it was as displayed in the above shots.

bsky.app works fine, as does the official BlueSky iOs app. blacksky.community (and latinsky,community) work "partially." Other apps such as Bsky Tracker for iOS no longer work at all, and have not since the moment of migration. More info and comparative shots attached.

No this fine (and expected) and would not cause the delays you're seeing. The handle can be authorised either way and is essentially unrelated to posts going through. Which frontend are you accessing the network through, bsky.app or blacksky.community?

I will admit, since migrating to BlackSky, the quality of service I experience has notably degraded—even apart from this incident. I still cannot get told me account is “deleted,” “deactivated,” or “not found” by blacksky.community (and also by latinsky.community).
