Tag your account with a location and explore other users and your mutuals on a map. It is a simple way to discover people nearby, follow local conversations, and find your community.
The ATlas database powers Near You, a location-based feed system with both chronological and personalized feed experiences. The chronological view shows local posts in time order, while the personalized view ranks local content using configurable scoring factors like distance, freshness, engagement, social signals, and interests.
For developers, ATlas maintains a repository of location-tagged accounts, available through ATproto lists (did:web:lists.fema.monster) and profile labels. The list service is exposed through standard XRPC endpoints, including /.well-known/did.json for DID resolution, com.atproto.repo.getRecord for list metadata, and app.bsky.graph.getList for paginated list membership (limit/cursor). Because clients can query these ATproto-compatible endpoints directly, developers can integrate ATlas lists into their projects.
A very cool project but full transparency: I'm good friends with one of the developers who created another app on here and they also reviewed their own app as 5 stars so I'm obligated to do the same to not allow them to have a competitive advantage over me even though our apps are entirely different.
You see, this is a location-based app and their app doesn't exist. Yes I lied on the internet. But you can trust my review this app is a banger.
