And community tools like @lexicon.garden and this MCP server, both from atproto developer extraordinaire @ngerakines.me, make it straightforward to quickly build apps on the protocol ngerakines.me/atpmcp.html

Oh, and if you are into #ATDev, here are the lexicons: List is the (trivial) list header definition: lexicon.garden/lexicon/did:... And ListItem references the post that caught you eye, and embeds the "drink" definition from app.winesky.review lexicon.garden/lexicon/did:...

The @lexicon.community welcomes discussions and questions in the forum discourse.atprotocol.community/c/lexicon-co... You can also literally explore lexicons with @lexicon.garden lexicon.garden

@lexicon.garden is lexicon ownership transfer (and deletion them from previous owner) not implemented yet?

5/4/26, 12:24 AM

This is what @lexicon.garden is for. It gives you a namespace you can jam whatever into and you can iterate there. Then when you're ready publish the real one at it's actual nsid

@richferro.com @fema.monster with regard to: 1) “Your account is added to our database and included in an ATProto list”, what is meant by “our database”? Is this storage outside atproto? 2) “Pros and cons of using a custom labeler versus a custom lexicon”: lexicon.garden/lexicon/did:... ?

5/2/26, 10:02 AM

1 its totally ok to write in other lexicons, esp if they are published on protocol (you can find those on lexicon.garden) 2 yep reading all popfeed and bookhive reading list additions in my account without having to trigger a sync would be ideal. its all there to read.

I have claude hooked up to both lexicon.garden (but limited what it can use in their MCP server) and to the AT Protocol docs' kapa AI, so it really knows AT Protocol stuff and I just fill in the blanks

@atbuddy.app damn, these scopes are way too broad for what this claims to be. can we get some granular scopes in here? if this is just to identity me, you dont need much more than `atproto` but if you are writing your own records under your own lex, just add those. lexicon.garden/scope-builder

It’s cool innit. And if you need a bit more metadata you can just make a sidecar record; kipclip uses an annotation record for the rest of the bookmark data it needs lexicon.garden/lexicon/did:...

I need to play around with @lexicon.garden some more for sure For a dice roll a minimum record would be something like: timestamp, dice notation, result? I'm not actually a programmer 😂 I'm curious if y'all have ideas what it would look like

This is a reminder that @lexicon.garden discover_permission_sets is very clutch, and everyone building atproto oauth should be using it

4/25/26, 5:54 PM

there are tons of experimental, in development, joke, typo, deleted, abandoned, or unused lexicons so not everything is going to be a winner another tool for exploring is lexicon.garden/browse. a more manual experience since you have to choose a path down the reverse-dns tree but still worth a look

@lexicon.garden I just published yet another version and it immediately showed up. So you just missed one update.

4/17/26, 10:32 AM

yeah probably, works now at least, though i went through too many versions imo ^^ (lexicon.garden is *very* nice for stuff like this btw 🙌)

I'm not sure I follow then. Currently it's a TID at attested.network/.well-known/... that can be viewed as `goat get at://did:plc:cq3w3bw7awp2rkeswfdzoubb/site.standard.publication/3mjf3477kfs2x`. Docs at lexicon.garden/nsid/site.st... say did as well. What are you saying I should change?
