there's @freeq.at if you're interested in the irc primitives which also is really good, but i had trouble with the mobile client when i tried it

Talking about IRC, there is this project that uses AT-protocol for auth, and IRC: freeq.at by @chadfowler.com Wouldn't it be nice if it became mainstream? 😃

Honestly, there’s a super long tail of features, but permissioned data and notifications gets us a long way there. @chadfowler.com’s @freeq.at might be complete enough for chat? The hard part for Discord is that there are a lot of people with sidebars filled with non-ATProto servers.
