ShelfCheck cross-references your reading list against your local Libby libraries so you can see what’s available to borrow today instead of buying. Import a CSV from Goodreads, Hardcover, or The StoryGraph — or sign in with Bluesky to sync your shelf, followed authors, and dismissed works across devices via your PDS. ShelfCheck publishes its own lexicons under org.shelfcheck.* (shelf.entry, author.follow, book.dismissed), keyed primarily by Open Library Work ID with structured author refs. Records are independently typed, so reviews, ratings, and shelf state don’t get jammed into one mega-record — and other AT Protocol clients are free to read or build on them.
This is awesome!! I've wanted this to exist for ages. So far a great working mvp. I'd love to see a few refinements and expansions:
- Auth scopes to org.shelfcheck.* and other relevant lexicon
- Integrate social.popfeed.* lexicon for reading lists, read status, and new reading list additions as they come in
- Notification when a book I've added to my list becomes available at my library So excited to see this grow!
