i think it's a lil different though - for ex i have registration open on pollen.place which is a totally different service from bsky (so not like different masto instances which is really just a place your account lives)

i do this on pollen.place/login - i don't tell the user what a pds is, just that this account can be used in multiple places but that does mean that I do #2 - i run a tranquil PDS instance but have it entirely obfuscated to the user if they register / log in that way

There's Bluecast and there's VoxPort for “podcasting” in the ATmosphere and that's it, right? I liked the concept of Bluecast but ultimately decided it wasn't for me, largely because I had to translate the page and their karaoke function (which was hugely interesting me) features a lot of K/Jpop. P
