Any of y’all given the new @aturi.to browser extension for Chrome/Firefox a spin yet? How are you liking it? Any changes you’d like to see? Still waiting on Chrome to approve v0.1.1 which fixes the settings layout being squished, hopefully this week.

What’s especially neat about the new @aturi.to browser extension is that it can detect AT URIs in the <head> of websites, so if you land on an “Atmospheric” website that isn’t in our curated list of waypoints, the extension will still automatically work! You can even make your own custom waypoints!

I used aturi.to on one of my posts and found a bunch of clients that nevertheless displayed them. What I want and need is to have a place (website, badge, labeled, or something else) which indicates who fails to respect and who respects the not-logged-in preference.

i'm seeing an unfortunate trend of atmosphere apps abandoning/forgetting the convention of including key protocol identifiers or URI components in their URL paths (rkey, handle, etc), making it impossible to easily locate/lookup the underlying protocol record makes adding @aturi.to support hard
5/3/26, 5:01 PM
yes i know about aturi.to but i don't think that's a real option because instead of making it seamless it's another thing you have to click through and copy your links into, and no client supports sharing aturi links directly

aturi.to is exactly what you're looking for :]

cool to see more Atmosphere apps adding more “waypoints” similar to @aturi.to and @anisota.net — if you haven’t done this yet, highly recommend!
